Woman struck by van dies in hospital
GoogleA pedestrian who sustained serious injuries when she was struck by a van has died in hospital.
Leicestershire Police said officers were called to High Street in Oakham, Rutland, at 13:55 GMT on Wednesday.
The force said the crash involved a woman in her 60s and a white Ford Transit van, which had been travelling towards Catmose Street.
The woman died in hospital on Friday, a police spokesperson said. The driver was not injured.
Leicestershire Police's Serious Collision Investigation Unit is investigating the incident and has appealed for witnesses or anyone with dashcam or CCTV footage to come forward.
