A man has appeared in court after drugs estimated to be worth more than £800,000 were found in a Moray village.

The cannabis cultivation - said to have a street value of up to £818,000 - was recovered in Tomintoul's Main Street on Monday.

Police Scotland described it as a "substantial" seizure.

Eduart Korcari, 26, of Aberdeen, appeared at Elgin Sheriff Court to face drugs charges, as well as an allegation under the Electricity Act. He made no plea and was granted bail.
