Fire destroys New Forest social club

Firefighters tackled the blaze at Beaulieu and East Boldre Sports and Social Club into the early hours

More than 50 firefighters worked through the night after a blaze broke out at a social club.

Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service said it was called to the fire off Strawberry Fields in East Boldre, in the New Forest, just after 23:00 BST on Tuesday.

Four propane cylinders were removed from the single-storey wooden building, which was destroyed in the blaze.

No-one was hurt and crews managed to put out the fire shortly after 03:00.

It is not yet clear how the blaze began.
