Footage shows impact of industrial estate blaze
Footage released by Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service (NFRS) shows the damage caused by a blaze at an industrial estate in Sutton Bonington.
A large fire broke out at Hathernware Industrial Estate, off Rempstone Road, shortly before 10:45 BST on 15 April.
At its height, 13 fire engines from Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Nottinghamshire were sent to the blaze, which involved buildings, timber and trailers.
The service said most of the fire had been extinguished but pockets of deep-seated fire and hotspots - buried within significant quantities of waste material across the site - remained.
It added that due to the "complex" nature of the incident, firefighters will remain at the scene for several more days.
Residents have been invited to a drop-in session at Sutton Bonington Village Hall to discuss any concerns with the fire service, the Environment Agency, UK Health Security Agency and Rushcliffe Borough Council between 14:00 and 17:00 on Friday.
NFRS said the aim of the session was to provide reassurance to the local community about the current situation - including its current approach to tackling the fire, the next steps, and air quality concerns.
