Over 12,000 people visit Thriplow Daffodil Weekend

More than 12,000 people have visited a village's annual weekend event showcasing daffodils.

Thriplow Daffodil Weekend, held in the Cambridgeshire village, welcomed people from across the UK, and was run by more than 400 volunteers.

Paul Earnshaw, chairman of the event, said about half a million daffodils were in bloom across 150 different varieties.

"We have been doing it now for 58 years and get people coming from all over the country, coming to see our beautiful daffodils," he added.
