Amputee footballer runs 'weird' 5k every day
Thomas Atkinson, from Carlisle, was born without a left hand and had to have his left leg amputated when he was two years old.
Defying medical predictions that he would not be able to walk, Thomas captained Portsmouth to a 3-2 win over Everton in the FA Disability Cup Final.
He also appeared in the 2024 edition of Big Brother, where he spent 37 days in the reality show's house before being evicted four days from the final.
He is now on a mission to raise money and sponsorship to enter the World Cup, by running 5k (3.2 miles) every single day.
No 5k is a typical run, as Thomas has so far completed the distance on a sofa, around his car...and inside a van.
