Follow Tom's step-by-step guide to make your own animal to celebrate the Chinese Year of the Snake. Please ask an adult to help with the stapler and scissors! |
You will need: Three toilet roll tubes Green paint Coloured card or paper String or wool - two pieces the same length A stapler (ask an adult to help) Scissors A black marker pen A glue stick
 | | Cut your toilet roll tubes in half. Paint all the separate pieces in one colour - we have used green paint. | | | | | | | When the paint has dried, take two pieces and staple one end of each shut. These will be the head and tail (see the top picture!). Get an adult to help you use the stapler. | | | | | | | Then cut the stapled end into a head and tail shape by cutting the corner pieces off. | | | | | | | Cut a snake tongue shape out of some card - we used red! |
