| Nottingham Castle - Cannon Positions | |
| | | You now find yourself located half way up castle rock, at an outlet along one of the man-made tunnels, running from the castle to the bottom of the rock face.
The outlet has two medieval cannon positions.
Note the divets in the cliff face. They are not holes for cannonballs, as you might suspect, but nests for pigeons!
