| Nottingham Castle - Eastern Terrace | |
| | | You're standing by the steps to the East Terrace in the castle grounds.
These steps are the original stairway up to the main entrance of the Ducal palace, built in 1679, known as Nottingham Castle.
Turn around and you might be able to spot the medieval bridge that connected the Outer and Middle Baileys of the castle.
It was built in the late 12th century and is one of the few surviving remains of the medieval castle.
