Rebecca comes back to her room but just before she opens the door she hears shouting so she stops to listen. Inside Marilyn is having an argument with Carl.

[Carl] You're my sister and you know it! Look! Here is a photo of our father. Why are you treating me like this? Why are you trying to deny it?

[Marilyn] Look I'm really sorry, but I don't know who you are. You've just taken that picture out of a magazine.

[Carl] You calling me a liar? Are you? Don't you see? …He took advantage of her and now I'm here. But you know about that because you used to write. Look! Look at all these letters you sent me when I was growing up! You cared once and now you don't seem to want to know!

[Marilyn] I, I, (stammering) You're not my brother and I've never written to you! Now get out of my room before I call for someone!

Carl sweeps stuff off a side table and Rebecca hearing the sound comes in. Carl looks enraged and storms out.
