Sean had inspiration from watching The Chase to ask his listeners a question today.
The Bready Bandit says 'Never mind the Bob, why was a sixpence called a Tanner?'
Sean doesn't have the answer.
Larry calls (not Big Larry) - 'It was something to do with Robert Peel' he says.
'I'm not married to that Larry' says Sean.
Terry in London rings 'A tanner was named after a man who designed the six penny piece in the Royal Mint'.
