Morgan McSweeney resigns as Sir Keir Starmer's chief of staff.
Morgan McSweeney has resigned as Sir Keir Starmer's chief of staff and said he takes "full responsibilty" for having advised the Prime Minister to appoint Lord Mandelson as the UK's ambassador to the US last year. In a statement, Mr McSweeney said the decision had been "wrong".
