Safer Internet Day 2026

Become a responsible AI designer and help Georgie Barrat and Joe Tasker on a Live Lessons mission to program an actual AI chatbot.

Step into the shoes of a responsible AI designer in this Live Lesson on Safer Internet Day.

Georgie Barrat and Joe Tasker are live from a safari park as they lead us on a special mission to create an AI chatbot inspired by a real-life hooded vulture.

With help from Minecraft’s Agent and Chicken, live artist Venessa Scott, and an ever-so-catchy chatbot song, this Live Lesson lifts the lid on how AI tools are created and programmed. Children will explore the careful decisions behind responsible AI design, from selecting reliable, accurate and unbiased training data to writing system prompts that prevent ‘bad’ AI behaviour.

Through interactive games and hands-on challenges, we discover why AI chatbots can seem human-like and may get things wrong. By the end of the lesson, children will understand the importance of using AI tools safely, critically and responsibly.
