"Who was the best wig wearer?"
Who, wonders Sean, wore his wig well? And who wore it worst?
“Who was the best wig wearer?” Sean asks. “I have my own answer. But I want to hear from you.”
“Best wig wearer? Big Frank Sinatra,” says Sam in Ballymena. “He wore it with style and panache.”
“I have two answers,” says Bill in Enniskillen: “Tony Curtis—"
“Tony Curtis…?” Sean says, unimpressed. “Hm…”
“—or Humphrey Bogart?”
“Humphrey Bogart’s good. I didn’t know he had a wig!”
“It wasn’t Frankie Howerd that’s for sure.” Says Eddie. “His syrup was dreadful.”
“Syrup of fig, wig,” Sean says. “I see. And I agree.”
