Guvna B's Faith Journey

Sean Fletcher meets Mobo Award-winning rapper and author Guvna B in east London to reflect on his faith and the hymns and worship music that inspire him.

Sean Fletcher travels to east London to meet Mobo Award-winning rapper, broadcaster and author Guvna B.

Sean and Guvna, real name Isaac Borquaye, take a walk through the streets of east London. Isaac shares his early experiences of church, his wrestle with faith as a youngster, and the remarkable events that led him to a deeper connection with God, giving him a determination to rap about positive themes.

Isaac then takes Sean to his father’s grave, where he speaks about the vulnerability he felt at the sudden death of his dad and how it impacted his faith.

Sean also visits Isaac’s home studio to discuss the gift of music and the importance of being honest with God when speaking about faith.

With hymns and worship music that have become the soundtrack for Isaac’s journey of faith:
