Women in Scottish Folk and World Gaelic Week

Anna Massie with the very best of folk and roots music from Scotland and beyond.

We're marking World Gaelic Week on Travelling Folk as Anna is joined by playwright, producer, director and singer Lana Pheutan to chat about her career and Gaelic culture in Scotland more widely.

And in the second hour, Anna chats to Dr Kelly Johnston, the project lead from Glasgow's Scottish Centre for Crime and Justice Research, who produced a report into Women Musicians’ Experiences of Sexual Violence and Harassment in Scottish Folk Music. Kelly tells Anna about how they compiled their report as well as what the recommendations are from it.
