The former cabinet minister and ambassador to the US, Lord Mandelson, has been arrested at his home in London, on suspicion of misconduct in public office. Peter Mandelson has not publicly commented since, but the BBC understands his position has consistently been that he has not acted criminally, and that he was not motivated by financial gain.
