Le Carousel – The Humans Will Destroy Us
Belfast producer Phil Kieran talks about the new Le Carousel album, The Humans Will Destroy Us.
Belfast electronic music producer and DJ Phil Kieran discusses his new Le Carousel album, “The Humans Will Destroy Us”. Whether he is scoring film soundtracks, collaborating with the Ulster Orchestra or producing techno tracks, Phil Kieran endlessly explores music in different guises. One of the most distinctive projects in his incredible back catalogue is Le Carousel. He unveiled the debut Le Carousel album in 2013 and it was immediately different. It was electronica with a widescreen, cinematic sound and it was the first time we heard Phil sing on record. It was also music which felt like it was designed to console. The new album picks up where that mission left off. Stephen and Phil discuss the influence of Andrew Weatherall on his work and the nature of what it means to be an artist.
