Three hours of classical sparkle

Join Sarah Walker for three hours of classical music and a gentle, uplifting soundtrack for this Mothering Sunday.

This week on Sunday Morning, Sarah Walker has three hours of uplifting music - including luminous orchestral colour from Debussy and the sparkling playing of L'Orfeo Baroque Orchestra from their new recording of Suites from the French Baroque.

The King's Singers shine in this week’s Choral Reflection - a gorgeous setting of O Christ, who art the Light and Day from the Renaissance Londoner Robert White. And we head to the Suffolk coast with Britten's atmospheric Four Sea Interludes from Peter Grimes.

There's also a chance to hear a stunning complete recording of Sibelius' triumphant 5th Symphony, and Sarah celebrates Mothering Sunday in her Sunday Sequence at 10.15.

Also, composer and pianist Olivia Belli reworks Puccini...

A Tandem Production for BBC Radio 3.
