Garbage frontwoman Shirley Manson joins Gary Davies to select her Tracks Of My Years - with an in-depth conversation about her life and choosing ten songs which have soundtracked that time so far.

Born in Edinburgh in 1966, Shirley Manson first released music as part of the bands Goodbye Mr Mackenzie and Angelfish, before forming Garbage in 1994. The band released their critically acclaimed self-titled debut album the following year and across the 90s had a string of hits including Only Happy When It Rains, Stupid Girl, Queer and Push It. After four albums across a ten year period the band went on hiatus during which Shirley released solo material and also acted in a Terminator TV series. Garbage reunited in 2010, releasing four further albums to date, most recently last year's All That We Imagine Be The Light. This summer they will be going around the UK on a co-headline tour with Skunk Anansie, as well as playing a huge show at Edinburgh Castle, which the group have said will most likely be their last headline show in Scotland.

A BBC Audio production for BBC Radio 2.
