Eddie Marsan is a prolific actor, with over 150 roles in film and television across his thirty-year career to date. He grew up in Bethnal Green, east London, saying that he was privileged to grow up in a very diverse community. His first experience on a film set came after being spotted dancing in a nightclub with a friend and being asked if he was interested in being an extra. He went on to enter drama school, and his early eye-catching roles included Gangster No 1 and Gangs Of New York. He's gone on to star in a wide range of films, from Mike Leigh's acclaimed films Vera Draka and Happy-Go-Lucky, to Hollywood blockbusters like Deadpool 2 and Hancock. On television he's featured in shows like Ridley Road, The Power and Ray Donovan. His latest drama Prisoner comes to Sky Atlantic and Now later this month and his most recent film No Ordinary Heist will be released as a Sky Original later this year.
