What does a 150 year old beer taste like?
In 2016, a 150-year-old bottle of beer, discovered in a garage in Gobowen, was sold for about £3,000. It was no ordinary beer - it'd been made for the British Arctic Expedition of 1875. Described as "strong" tasting and rich in unfermentable sugars that could resist freezing. Dougal Sharp from Innis and Gunn Brewing Company was the person who bought it and ten years on, he's opened it and recreated that very brew.
Dougal told BBC Radio Shropshire's Adam Green about this very special beer.
