Abberton celebrated for secret war role
A blue plaque has been awarded to Abberton Reservoir for its role in the Dambusters raid.
The site, which was used by 617 Squadron for test runs in 1943, topped a poll run by Visit Essex to mark Essex Day in 2025.
Paul Joslin was there for the presentation.
