New South Wales parliament debates stricter gun control laws

The gun control proposals, which are expected to pass, include limits on the number of firearms an individual can own. The gun lobby says the legislation is rushed and will unfairly penalise responsible gun owners. On Sunday, the Australian prime minister was booed at a ceremony to commemorate the victims. The government is accused of not doing enough to combat anti-semitism.
