Bangladesh's Nationalist Party wins election

It's the country's first election since the Gen Z-driven uprising of 2024.

The Bangladesh Nationalist Party, has secured a landslide victory in the first election since a student-led uprising deposed the long-time authoritarian leader. We go live to Dhaka.

US President Donald Trump has reversed a key Obama-era scientific ruling that underpins all federal actions on curbing planet-warming gases.

And the death toll from Cyclone Gezani, which struck the African island nation of Madagascar earlier this week, has continued to rise. At least 38 people are known to have died, with many of the fatalities occuring in the main port city of Toamasina, which took the brunt of the cyclone's impact.
