Pakistan launches strikes on Kabul and Kandahar

They said the attacks were a response to Afghanistan's border offensive.

Pakistan bombed Afghanistan’s capital Kabul and two other provinces on Friday, hours after a cross-border attack. Pakistan's defence minister said there was now a state of "open war" with Afghanistan. Pakistan has repeatedly accused the Taliban of sheltering militants who attack across the border.

The former US Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, has been testifying in closed-door hearings on what she knew about the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
Hillary Clinton told a Congressional Committee that she did not recall ever meeting Epstein, and had no information to share about his criminal activities.
Her husband, former President Bill Clinton is due to be interviewed on Friday.

And South Sudan is once again facing escalating violence, mass displacement and warnings of a slide back toward broader conflict. A new report by the Commission on Human Rights in South Sudan warns that civilians are bearing the brunt of renewed hostilities.
