People are feared dead or injured at a drug treatment centre in Kabul

Relatives of patients have gathered at a drug rehabilitation hospital in the Afghan capital, Kabul, which has been reduced to a blazing ruin by an air strike

A BBC team saw at least thirty bodies in the aftermath of the attack in the hospital. Survivors have described the ceiling falling in on them. Pakistan has denied targeting the medical centre, saying it was hitting military and not civilian sites.

The US embassy in Iraq's capital Baghdad has been hit by dornes , in what's been described as "the most intense assault" since attacks started. We speak to our correspondent in the region
