Trump repeats his call for other nations to assist in securing the Strait of Hormuz

President Trump has criticised those allies of the US who he says are not enthusiastic about helping to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, which has been largely closed by Iran.

President Trump has criticised US allies for their reluctance to help break the Iranian blockade of the Strait of Hormuz, saying countries protected by American troops did not want to get involved. The EU's top diplomat, Kaja Kallas, said there was no appetite among EU nations to extend the bloc's Red Sea naval mission to help reopen the waterway.
