Danny Tenaglia has announced that he will not be playing in Ibiza this summer.
Having spent the last four summers on the party island Tenaglia has decided to take a year off and spend some time at his home in New York.
Danny has recently finished the construction work on his 6,500 square foot private loft space in Long Island complete with his vinyl and the body and soul soundsystem. He says. "I have waited my entire life for this... it's waiting for me to turn the power on".
In 1999 & 2000 he was one of the main resident DJs at Space playing sets on the Terrace as well as inside. Last year he played for the first time at Pacha, Amnesia (in place of John Digweed) and Privilege.
All clubs immediately wanted to re-book him again for this summer 2003, including Space.
In an recent posting on his website Danny admitted; "I have a great reputation and great relationship with all of the venues in Ibiza. It was a very hard decision for me to say "no" to all 4 clubs. But, I figured in order to keep my relationships in top shape with all four major clubs, it was in my best opinion to say no to all offers rather than saying yes to one and no to another."
