The latest edition to the Ibiza landscape, and to the Manumission empire, is the Manumission Motel.
Situated in the centre of the island, this building spent many years functioning as the local brothel before Mike and Claire Manumission decided to buy the place, give it a quick re-fit and turn it into the most fashionable place to stay on the island.
Taking only 8 days to decorate, the results are absolutely astounding. A group of Europe's most notorious and talented graffiti artists were flown in to decorate the corridors and each of the rooms have been decorated in an their own individual style of 70's kitsch. Think waterbeds, lava lamps and bathtubs big enough to house a party of six.
The ethos of the hotel is to continue the Manumission party, party, party spirit. This is a place for people who stay out all night and crash all day, and should you feel like a night off, all the rooms are sound proofed so there's no chance of being disturbed.
It comes as no surprise then that the hotel boasts a client list consisting of world class DJ's, supermodels, fashion designers, film producers and the general club land glitteratti.
Unfortunately every day punters are not allowed through the doors, in order to get a room here you have to be invited Mike and Clare. A strict door policy perhaps, but if you do manage to get a room, you can be guaranteed the time of your life.
