Situated practically at the bottom of the runway, Space was the first club in Ibiza to open its doors at 6am, allowing the serious clubbers to continue well into the daytime and provide a venue for those early risers, who prefer to party in the sunlight.
Built half outside and half indoors, the venue attracts a good mix of people from all across the globe; Americans, Europeans, The Brits, etc, etc, etc. Space is more like a scene from an international departure lounge than an Ibician club. The good point is that everyone gels really well.
This may say something about the kind of people you get in Space - a more open, fun loving crowd than you find elsewhere on the island, people who take their dress far more seriously than themselves. We're not talking labels here, Space is the place for the wild, the weird and the down right wonderful.
This could be one of the many factors that make this club so special. However, the music also plays a big part in this as the Balearic spirit is alive and kicking on the terrace. Forget your hard house & speed garage, these are serious party tunes where reggae sits side by side with disco, funk and old skool hip hop, the kind of music that the crowd can have fun with, and they do.
Space is certainly a unique entity on the Ibician clubbing scene and the only way to describe it, is in the words of its advertising slogan "Happy People In The Morning".
