Working In Ibiza
We've all heard of people getting jobs handing our flyers or serving drinks in bars but surely there must be something more, well, interesting to do if you want to spend the summer in Ibiza and earn your keep while you're there. We found four examples...

Raz Raz, at Cafe Mambo.
What do you do? I work at the famous Manumission Motel, sweeping the floors, changing all the, errm, dirty sheets, cleaning the baths and toilets.
Is it fun?? No! You get to meet some cool people but you get looked down on - I'm just the cleaner! You walk in on people having sex all the time.
Any perks? I get drink and food and I meet lots of people. Oh, and the water beds! The pay is about £2.50 p/hour which is not bad for Ibiza.

Rob Rob, San Antonio street.
What do you do? I'm a photographer working for Mixmag and Seven, taking pictures of clubbers on the island.
Is it fun?? Just being here all summer is great, and I'm lucky that I work for two well-known magazines so I get treated well. You have to have self-control though, because there's always a party going on somewhere and you could easily lose it. There's so many photographers out here it can be difficult. It's very hectic trying to take good pictures in clubs 'cos they're so crowded. People always want you to take their picture but you can't take pictures of everybody, so if I'm asked I often just fire off the flash and pretend to take one. It keep people happy.
Any perks? A million and one, but really just being here all summer.

Jackie Jackie, petrol station near Amnesia.
What do you do? I'm a make-up artist and stylist for clubs, magazines, TV stations
Is it fun? It's great, the pay's not bad, you get into all the clubs free, you get to know absolutely everyone and generally have great fun. The downsides are that sometimes it's hard to squeeze the money out of people you've worked for and it's difficult getting up in the morning to work when you've been out all night partying!

Darren Darren, behind Cafe Mambo.
What do you do? I'm a personal chef for Mambo, Mixmag, KM5, Radio 1... I've been a chef for 8 years but this is my first season in Ibiza.
Is it fun? It's alright, I don't have to work too hard, I meet some interesting people
Perks? I get to lie on the beach most days which is not bad. Do you want some sushi?
