Kula Shaker burst onto the musical landscape in the mid 1990's and are often remembered for their take on Deep Purple's early hit 'Hush'. Often described as psychedelic rock but lumped in with the Britpop movement, the band and frontman Crispian Mills seemingly evaded an official description but rattled through a noteworthy amount of UK chart success before splitting at the end of the decade. They reformed in 2005 and have been together ever since, with 'Wormslayer', their eight album, released on the 30th of January. Frontman Crispian Mills is choosing the Rock God for Shaun, and it's possibly no great surprise who he's chosen as his ultimate musical rock hero. Also on the show, Shaun wishes Happy 75th Birthday to the legend that is Phil Collins by handing over 'Live And Dangerous' to a classic Phil performance. Plus a nod to another birthday boy, John Lydon, who's turning 70 on the 31st of January. Produced by Listen Entertainment for BBC Radio 2
