Last week John mentioned in nostalgic tones the photograph of him and assorted pals which listener, Ed Noonan, sent in to him. Ed, from Blackwood in Gwent, is also part of John's past. He and John played for the Dallas County Cricket Club, at the University of Texas in Austin. We could keep the photo from the hungry public no longer - here it is - revealing the 1964 version of John - slim, clean-shaven, holding a beer, and looking a touch quizzically at the camera.
