Giving Mum Away

Catherine Andrews kindly donated her mother's devious reading habits to Home Truths

I have greatly enjoyed listening to your programme, and would like to contribute something from our family.

It is my Mum actually.

Mum enjoys reading the occasional paperback novel, but she’s recently confessed to reading the last three or four pages of every book first. If she likes the ending, she will read the book, if not, she discards it - or rather she doesn't buy it. Apparently she has been doing this for years!

When I asked her why she did it Mum said she likes happy endings, and if it's a miserable end, then she won't read it.

Which leads us unerringly to the question:
To what or whom would you like to contribute your mother (or any other member of your family)
and why?
