Emma Bonino
Italian politician on her campaign to get women working

Emma Bonino, Minister for European Affairs in Italy's last administration has said there is a 'feminist emergency' in Italy. Negative stereotyping of women in the media as either showgirls or bitter professionals has informed not only girls' aspirations but public policy. Poor nursery provision and maternity benefits is keeping 10% of Italy's eligible female workforce out of the job market and restricting economic growth. She joins us to discuss her campaign to get women working.
