Republican Women and the Presidential Campaign13 May 2008
Will McCain pick a female running mate?

As the contest for the Democratic Party nomination continues, Hillary Clinton and Michelle Obama have commanded more airtime and column inches than the women who will play a role in the Republican race. But as John McCain looks for a running mate, the names of a number of women have come up โ€“ including Senator Kay Bailey Hutchinson, Governor Sarah Palin and Secretary of State, Condoleezza Rice. So who are the female movers and shakers in the Republican Party? How much influence do they have and how is the party appealing to women voters? Jenni talks to Miki Bowman, Chairman of Republicans Abroad UK and to Bronwen Maddox, Chief Foreign Commentator of The Times.
