A nineteen year old Saudi Arabian woman has been sentenced to two hundred lashes and six months in prison after being gang raped last year. Her crime – was to be travelling in a car with a man to whom she was not related, breaking the country’s tough laws on segregation of the sexes. There has been outrage across the world with American presidential candidates wading into challenge the current president over his record on tackling Saudi Arabia on human rights.
