Child sponsorship – is it the best way of giving?

Child Sponsorship has been one of the most important tools used by charities to raise money for developing countries – but is it really the best way of giving? Some charities are dropping their child sponsorship schemes and there’s a debate about whether it is the best way to help children in developing countries. We hear from Coronation Street actress Sally Whittaker who has sponsored a girl in India for nearly 10 years and discuss the pros and cons of child sponsorship with Richard Miller, executive director of Action Aid and Adam Rothwell, director of Intelligent Giving.
