Women in the US Supreme Court07 May 2009
Will another woman be appointed

The recent retirement of one of the long serving judges of the Supreme Court, Justice David Souter, has left a vacancy. With only one woman currently serving in the Supreme Court, Barack Obama is said to be very keen to appoint another. So is the job likely to go to a woman and who are the nominees? Margo Miller from Democrats Abroad, and Cynthia Weber who is Professor of Politics and international Relations at Lancaster University join Jenni to talk about the potential female candidates and their significance to the Supreme Court.
