The daffodils are beginning to flower, as are the crocuses and the snowdrops - that's if you remembered, of course, to plant them in good time last year.

And now you need to think ahead again to make sure the garden in autumn blooms with colour. The gardener Kathy Brown has been showing Jennifer Chevalier what bulbs you can plant to get spectacular autumn results - and there's none more colourful than the showy dahlia...
