Internationally renowned saxophonist and composer, Barbara Thompson, was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease six years ago, and recently gave up live performances to concentrate on her composing career.

Barbara joins Jenni to talk about the premiere this week, in Norwich, of her most recent and ambitious work Journey to a Destination Unknown, a suite of twelve songs scored for a community choir of 95 voices.
It is Parkinson's Awareness Week next week April 6th - 13th/ Parkinson Disease Society is on 020 7931 8080
Three performances are scheduled at St. Andrews, St Andrew's Plain, Norwich, Friday 4th & Saturday 5th April 2003 at 8pm, and the London Premiere at St. John's Smith Square, Saturday, 12th April 2003, 7.30pm.
