Euro WarrantThursday 19 June 2003
Teresa Daniels was arrested at Gran Canaria airport when her travelling companion was found to be carrying 4 kilos of cocaine.

He told the authorities she had nothing to do with it but she found herself on trial alongside him and received a ten year sentence after a trial in Spanish which lasted an hour and a half.
She is now fighting extradition back to Spain and campaigners here say her case serves as a warning against the government's plans to relax extradition laws within the EU.
Teresa Daniels talks to Martha about her conviction and Stephen Jakobi, Director of Fair Trials Abroad joins Martha to talk about the implications of the government's proposals.
