Breast ReconstructionTuesday 1 July 2003
Kerry Fowler
On the 13 June we heard the story of Kerry Fowler. Almost two years ago Kerry was diagnosed with breast cancer and had a mastectomy. At the time she opted against having any kind of reconstructive surgery as she thought it was unnecessary and purely cosmetic. But as time went on she started to change her mind.

When we last heard from Kerry it was the day before she was scheduled to go into the operating theatre to have a new breast made from silicone and muscle from her back. Anna McNamee went back to find out how it went.
We'll be going back to see how Kerry's getting on in a few week's time. If you want more information about breast reconstructive surgery or breast cancer call the BBC Actionline on 0800 044 044.
