Rosé wine
3 August 2004
Listen to this item
Is it time to take it seriously?
Rosé seems hip again – everyone’s drinking it! With more quality rosés being made available to buyers, a rosé renaissance is under way as wine drinkers discover the delights of pink wines from Europe and the New World.
Jenni and food and wine writer Fiona Beckett taste some wine and ask whether rosé has finally shaken off its kitsch image?
Jenni and Fiona tasted Mateus Rose from Portugal, Beringer and White Zinfandel from California and Chateau Guiot from France. All are available from most supermarkets or wine shops.
