Young people say they feel lost - What’s happening?

According to a recent Harvard survey, 3 in 5 young adults say that their lives are lacking a sense of meaning and purpose.

Those findings align with what author and Harvard professor Arthur Brooks has seen in his own research. Through interviews and surveys of his own, Brooks says he’s encountered an alarmingly high number of young people who say that — even if they attended prestigious schools or had good jobs — they still don’t feel like they know how to find a sense of purpose in their lives.

In this episode, Katty Kay talks with Arthur Brooks about why so many young people are struggling with these questions of meaning — and what he thinks we can do to turn the tide on this crisis of purpose.
