Travelling Folk at Celtic Connections 2026

Travelling Folk

Available for 16 days

We have another packed programme recorded at the BBC's Pacific Quay in Glasgow, kicking off with live sets from Quebec supergroup Le Vent du Nord. Founded in 2002, the band have released 12 albums and toured all around the world. This year, they returned to Celtic Connections for the 22nd year, and we were delighted to welcome them back onto the Travelling Folk stage. Also hailing from Canada is singer-songwriter, guitar, piano and banjo player Kaia Kater. Kaia is joined by bass player Andrew Ryan for an amazing set of tunes and songs. Next up, Celtic music legends Michael McGoldrick and Tim Edey take to the stage. Multi-instrumentalists Michael and Tim join together as a duo with years of playing experience in bands such as Flook, Capercaillie and Lúnasa. They perform a fantastic mix of their own compositions and traditional tunes. And to round things off, we're joined once again by Le Vent du Nord for more foot stomping, catchy tunes!
