Jason Mohammad takes your calls on Jeffrey Epstein, headers in football and band t-shirts

The Phone In

Available for 6 days

Today we’re taking your calls on the latest revelations linked to Jeffrey Epstein. Lord Mandelson has resigned from the Labour party, after new documents suggest Epstein paid him $75,000. Mandelson has said he has no record of the payment, which was apparently paid in three separate transactions in 2003 and 2004. The documents also include pictures of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, which appear to show him kneeling over an unidentified woman. As a result, the former prince is again under pressure to testify in the US. It’s a big day for football – the Football Association of Wales is celebrating its 150th anniversary, and it’s also transfer deadline day. And we’re asking if it’s time for heading the ball to be removed from the game. A senior coroner has said that heading footballs is likely to have contributed to the brain disease CTE, which was a factor in the death of former professional footballer Gordon McQueen. CTE is caused by repeated head impacts. The FAW advises against deliberate heading in training for players aged under 11, and the Scottish FA has banned heading the day before and after matches in the professional adult game. And what makes an iconic band t-shirt? Oasis have invited their fans to design the 30th anniversary t-shirt for Don't Look Back In Anger. Entries must be in by midnight tonight. We’ll be chatting with Brian Cannon, who designed the covers for Oasis’ most famous albums. Call or WhatsApp 03700 100 110, or Text 8 10 12. Be part of the nations' conversation.
