Pulp perform alongside the BBC Concert Orchestra from BBC Maida Vale studios for Radio 2’s Piano Room Month. Pulp said: “We are very much looking forward to coming into the Radio 2 Piano Room. What will we find there? Something old, something new - & a VERY special cover version. Can’t wait….” Forming in 1978 in Sheffield, Pulp worked at their music for many years before breaking through in the 90s with huge hits like Common People, Disco 2000 and Something Changed. Fronted by the enigmatic Jarvis Cocker, they reunited for new live shows in 2022, followed by releasing their first album in twenty-four years in 2025, called More. The record topped the UK album charts and was nominated for the Mercury Prize, and the band played a huge surprise set on Glastonbury's Pyramid Stage. Back for its fifth year, Radio 2 Piano Room Month sees globally famous, award-winning artists perform three tracks - a new song, one of their well-known numbers, and an unexpected cover version - all accompanied by the BBC Concert Orchestra.
