Oliver Hides takes your calls on cash, Cardiff Airport and super fans.

The Phone In

Available for 24 days

How often do you use cash, and does the rise in the number of cashless stores worry you? High street shops are increasingly accepting only card or phone payments, according to new research. Around 14% of small businesses in the UK have turned cashless over the last year, according to a survey by ATM network Link. Last year, MPs on the Treasury Committee said the UK Government should be ready to force shops and services to accept cash to protect vulnerable people. What should the future look like for Cardiff Airport? Reform UK have launched their Welsh manifesto, which includes a commitment to examine the viability of the airport. They say the airport has been consistently loss-making since it was purchased by the Welsh Government in 2013. Reform say they will urgently consider the viability of the airport as a Welsh Government asset, prior to making decisions about its future. And are you a super fan? Be it a fan of a film, novel, sports team - whatever it may be - how far have you gone to celebrate that fandom? Fans of Terry Pratchett's Discworld novels are descending on Llanelli this weekend, for the Llamedos Holiday Camp. And we’ll be speaking with one fan who’s officially changed his name to a Discworld character. Call or WhatsApp 03700 100 110, or Text 8 10 12. Be part of the nations' conversation.
